"I have known Kathryn Teo Boon Kee some 30 years ago while pursuing my studies in Universiti Malaya. My coursemates and I found Kathryn to be a friendly and sweet lady.
Well, I am the other Boon Kee, Ong Boon Kee. Imagine having two Boon Kees in the same class and whenever our names were called, there will be silence and neither one of us would answer. This forced the lecturer to have a second look at his name list and this time call out the name in full.
I had the opportunity of getting Kathryn to work on some corporate tax matters for my company and during this time, she always carried out her work professionally and completed her work to my satisfaction.
On behalf of my MU mates, I would like to convey our heartfelt condolences to Mark and his three children. We will miss Kathryn dearly. "
(Ong Boon Kee is an ex-varsity mate of Kathryn in the University of Malaya. They have kept in touch even after leaving the university many years ago)
